摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission power control circuit which can correct accurately the gain change of an amplifier circuit to the change of an ambient temperature without depending upon the dynamic range of a detection circuit, and which can maintain a desired transmission power level irrespective of an ambient temperature at the transmission power level of a wide range, and to provide a radio communication apparatus having the transmission power control circuit. SOLUTION: To a controller 6, a detection signal from a temperature detection circuit 22 is inputted which detects the ambient temperature and outputs the detection signal of a voltage according to the detected temperature. In a memory 23, the relation between a plurality of types of the desired transmitting output levels and the value I of command data, the relation between a plurality of types of ambient temperatures and a correction value C and the relation between a plurality of types of the desired transmission output levels and a correction coefficient K are set. The controller reads the value (I) of the command data according to the desired transmission output level and the ambient temperature detected by a temperature detector circuit 22, the correction value (C) and the correction coefficient (K) from the memory 23; and applies the command signal according to the value determined by [I+K×C] to an AGC amplifier 11 through a D-A converter 24.
