PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a console panel for a vehicle with simple panel design which does not make conscious of the existence of a switch. SOLUTION: The console panel is equipped with a panel surface 1 having semi-light transmission, an operating switch 2 which is arranged at the back face of the panel surface 1 and outputs a setpoint signal concerning the setting of operating state of the equipment by detecting the approach or contact of a hand, and projection means 3, 4 which are arranged at the back face of the panel surface 1 and project on the panel surface the switch design showing the function of the operation switch 2 only at the time of operation. Only when the projection means 3, 4 are operating, the operating switch 2 can be operated. When the projection means 3, 4 are not operating, the switch design is not projected on the panel surface 1, therefore, the panel surface 1 is seen only as a surface where nothing exists, thereby a simple panel design which does not make conscious the existence of the switch can be realized.
