PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerant cycle device solving a further environmental disruption problem and usable without hindrance even in an area where the power situation is unstable. SOLUTION: The refrigerant cycle device is provided with a solar battery SD and a refrigerant circuit formed by annularly connecting a compressor 10, a gas cooler 154, a pressure reducing device, an evaporator 157, and the like, using carbon dioxide as a refrigerant and reaching a supercritical pressure on the high pressure side. Power generated by the solar battery SD is applied to an electric element 14 for operation. An inverter 100 is provided for generating frequency controllable pseudo AC power from the power generated by the solar battery SD, to operate the electric element 14. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
