PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal power generation device, wherein a size of a cooling structure using a heat pipe can be reduced. SOLUTION: The thermal power generating device 1 for converting heat energy into electrical energy by a plurality of thermoelectric elements is provided with a plurality of first heat pipes 3, of which one end parts are arranged on a low temperature side of the thermoelectric elements 2, for moving heat from the thermoelectric elements 2 to an optional position, a second heat pipe 4 of which one end part is arranged in a vicinity of other end parts of the first heat pipes 3 for conducting heat from the first heat pipes 3, and a relay means 5 for housing the other end parts of the first heat pipes 3 and the one end part of the second heat pipe 4 and for conducting the heat from the first heat pipes 3 to the second heat pipe 4. A heat transport amount per pipe of the second heat pipe 4 is larger than that of the first heat pipes 3, and the number of the pipes of the second heat pipe is less than that of the first heat pipes 3.
