Methods of making a multi-well test plate (10) including an upper frame portion (12) and a transparent panel (20) secured to a lower side of the upper frame portion (12) with adhesive (22). The upper frame portion (12) includes a plurality of walls (14, 16) defining adjacent wells (18) for receiving assay samples. The adhesive (22) may be applied to either the upper frame portion (12) or the transparent panel (20) by various techniques including, but not limited to, transfer printing using a printing dock (42), robotic dispensing using an adhesive dispenser (44) or dispense valves (48), flexographic printing using a printing plate (52) covering a rotating drum (54), pad printing using a flat printing plate (62), and silk screening using a screen (70).
