PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grating device for a manhole, which enables a worker to safely and easily ascend/descend in the manhole, without having a lid body placed on a grating for the manhole, which enables the lid body to be easily housed in the wall surface of the manhole, and which enables the worker to safely perform work even on grating. SOLUTION: In this grating device for the manhole, a notched space 14 is formed in a part of the grating 10 for the manhole, which is installed midway through a vertical hole of the manhole, and covered with the lid body 15; the lid body is formed in an approximately square shape in a plan view; a knob 16 for opening/closing the lid body is provided on one side of the lid body; the other side thereof is positioned on the wall surface 17 of the manhole; and a lid storage frame 11 like a door storage case is provided in the wall surface of the manhole, so that the lid body can be housed in the storage frame when opened.
