<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for managing a driver, and a program that enable a user to use a device connected to a network without making the user aware of installing a driver in a user terminal. <P>SOLUTION: A device detection part 23 detects a device which is connected to a specific subnet of a network and presents a driver corresponding to the device connected to the subnet among drivers installed in a user terminal to the user. When there is a driver which is not installed in the user terminal among drivers corresponding to the device connected to the specified subnet, an installation processing part 25 installs the driver in the user terminal and then presents the corresponding driver to the user. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
