PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner for an automobile with high energy-saving efficiency and sufficient comfortability in a cabin. SOLUTION: The air conditioner 1A for the automobile is provided with a heat recycle means 10 comprising a ventilation passage 31 having an air suction port 32 opened into the cabin 6; a third fan 34 for sucking the air in the cabin from the air suction port 32 to the ventilation passage 31 and discharging the sucked air in the cabin to the outside of the vehicle; and a recycle heat exchanger 11 arranged in the ventilation passage 31 and performing heat exchange relative to the discharged air.
