PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain flight type sludge-scraping machine permitting stable operation without troubles of a resin chain running out of the tooth part. SOLUTION: The machine has a driving shaft 4, a pair of chains 8 running as the shaft rotates and flights 9 attached to the chains with specified pitches and circulating in a sedimentation basin 2 as the chains run and is based on a chain flight system in which the flights move, held by guide rails 15 and 16. A missed part 15a is disposed in a part of the guide rail 15 on the side of the shaft 4 so that the chain 8a hangs down by its own weight in the missed part. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
