<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film manufacturing device capable of realizing the improvement of yield, the reduction of the number of steps, power saving and the shortening of manufacture time in manufacturing optical film by restraining the production of a foreign matter due to rubbing processing and realizing consecutive manufacture. <P>SOLUTION: The device for manufacturing the optical film constituting the picture display device is equipped with a base material supply part 1 supplying 1st base material 1a, a press-fit transfer part 2 equipped with 2nd base material 2a having an orientation axis and capable of making polymer liquid crystal have orientation property, and transferring the orientation property to the 1st base material 1a by press-fitting the 2nd base material 2a to the 1st base material 1a, a liquid crystal applying part 3 applying a solution containing the polymer liquid crystal on the 1st base material 1a, a liquid crystal drying part 4 drying the solution containing the polymer liquid crystal on the 1st base material 1a, and a wind-up part 5 winding up the 1st base material 1a having the polymer liquid crystal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
