<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately correct the distortion of a projected video regardless of the change of zoom amount by an optical zoom means even in a projection state where a projection optical axis is oblique vertically and horizontally to a projection surface. <P>SOLUTION: The projector is equipped with a projection optical system 11 for projecting a video onto the projection surface, and an optical zoom part 5 for driving the optical system 11 to enlarge and reduce the projected video projected onto the projection surface. The projector is also equipped with a distortion correcting circuit part 4 for correcting the distortion of the quadrilateral projected videos 31 and 36, which are projected onto the projection surface when the projection optical axis is oblique vertically and horizontally to the projection surface, into square corrected videos 32 and 37, a zoom amount detection part 6 for detecting the zoom amount by the optical zoom part 5, and a CPU 8 for generating corrective data to be set in the circuit part 4 based on the zoom amount detected by the detection part 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
