PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain coated paper for recording, which is produced in an excellent coating state without causing coating defects such as especially streak, bleeding, etc., even in a high concentration of solid content of a coating liquid when produced by high-speed blade coating and has excellent coatability of base paper, feeling of printed surface, ink receptivity, white paper gloss and printing gloss. SOLUTION: The coated paper for recording is obtained by coating base paper with a coating liquid comprising pigment and an adhesive by blade coating. The coating liquid comprises≥1 parts by mass and≤5 parts by mass of hydroxyethyl etherified starch having≤1.0×10<SP>6</SP>weight-average molecular weight as the adhesive based on 100 parts by mass of the pigment,≥8 parts by mass and≤15 parts by mass of copolymer latex having≤100 nm average particle diameter,≥0.1 part by mass of a condensation polymer containing an ester group and at least one or more amide terminal groups on a main chain and having≥800 weight-average molecular weight and has≥63 mass% solid content.
