Teletax signal generator, reads out sinewave signal amplitudes from memory at two different rates and multiplies the results

The memory (17) stores amplitudes of a sinewave signal. A memory read-out unit (18) reads these out at a first rate to produce a sinusoidal signal. It reads them out at a second rate, producing an envelope curve signal. Both signals are fed to a multiplier (23) producing the Teletax (TTX) signal. An independent claim is included for the corresponding method.
