<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent performance deterioration of a fuel cell caused by temperature decrease by efficiently heating the fuel cell without great energy consumption at the time of a system stop. <P>SOLUTION: In the case there is a concern of a sudden temperature decrease at the system stop, the control unit 5 calculates speed of temperature drop (temperature decreasing rate) of the fuel cell 1 temperature and to heat the fuel cell 1 while controlling action of the electric heater 6 so that this temperature decreasing rate becomes a prescribed rate or less. By this, the temperature of the fuel cell gradually decreases and slowly approaches the environment temperature, and the performance deterioration of the fuel cell 1 due to the rapid temperature decrease is prevented effectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
