PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity sample display device for a vending machine capable of emphasizing a commodity sample without changing its impression for encouraging a user to purchase the commodity. SOLUTION: This commodity sample display device 10 arranged in the vending machine 1 for displaying a commodity sample S is provided with a commodity sample display base 12 formed of a transparent material and a light emitting body 37 lighting the commodity sample display base 12. The commodity sample display base 12 is provided with a display base main body 13 for displaying the commodity sample S, a front board 13 arranged on the front side of the displayed commodity sample S, and a light guide part 23 arranged opposedly to the light emitting body 37 for introducing light from the light emitting body 37 and guiding it to the inside of the front board 18.
