PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method etc. for disassembling a liquid crystal cell, with which the liquid crystal cell is disassembled in such a way that substrate materials are easily classified into kinds and separately recovered and further no waste liquid is made to be produced. SOLUTION: The method disassembles the liquid crystal cell 1 constructed with a TFT substrate 11 and a counter substrate 12, which are a pair of substrates facing each other, and a liquid crystal layer 13 disposed by being filled between the TFT substrate 11 and the counter substrate 12 and sealed with a sealing member 27, and is provided with an electrode placing step to place a lower electrode 31 and an upper electrode 32, which are a pair of substrates, opposite to each other so as to interpose the TFT substrate 11 and the counter substrate 12 in between, a heating step to heat the sealing member 27 by making a high-frequency electric field be generated between the lower electrode 31 and the upper electrode 32, and a separating step to separate the TFT substrate 11 and the counter substrate 12 at the time of the heated sealing member 27.
