PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chlorogalium phthalocyanine pigment which gives an electrophotographic photoreceptor sufficient in sensitivity, chargeability, and dark decay and capable of giving stable image quality over a long period of time without causing image quality defects such as photographic fog, to provide a method for efficiently and surely producing the same, and to provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor, a process cartridge, and an electrophotographic apparatus using the same. SOLUTION: The chlorogalium phthalocyanine pigment has a longest wavelength absorption maximum in the range of 740 to 770 nm in a spectral absorption spectrum in the wavelength region of 700 to 900 nm.
