PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device with which the miniaturization of a control substrate, the shortening of a manufacturing process and the reduction of a cost are made possible and further, the improvement in display performance is made possible. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device has the control substrate 1 and a glass substrate 2, and an FPC 3 which is connected at its both ends to the two substrates 1 and 2. A source driver 14 and a gate driver 8 are packaged on the glass substrate 2 and a TFT panel 9 driven by these drivers 8 and 14 is arranged thereon. A timing generation circuit (TG) 15 is built in the source driver 14 and the source driver 14 is connected to a color process/inversion circuit 4, a clock creation circuit 13 and a counter electrode driving circuit 6. Also, the source driver 14 and the gate driver 8 are connected by third wiring 20 and a control signal from the timing generation circuit 15 is supplied through the third wiring 20 to the gate driver 8.
