PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double structure rod in which possible damage of an inner pipe is reduced. SOLUTION: The double structure rod can be extended in an axial direction by mutual connection of a plurality of the double structure rods. The double structure rod has an outer pipe having a pair of male and female connection parts to be respectively formed at top end and base end sides, the inner pipe to be concentrically disposed inside the outer pipe, a first tubular adapter mounted at the top end side of the inner pipe and having a flange by which the inner pipe is positioned, a second tubular adapter mounted at the base side of the inner pipe, a first insertion part to be inserted into the first tubular adapter, and a second insertion part to be inserted into the second tubular adapter, and has an insertion nipple in which annular elastic water cut-off members are respectively fitted to an outer peripheral surfaces of the first insertion and second insertion parts. When the double structure rods are connected with each other, the first tubular adapter and the second tubular adapter are connected with each other through the insertion nipple and the outer peripheral surfaces of the first insertion and second insertion parts are separated from an inner peripheral surface of each adapter by the elastic water cut-off member.
