<p>A plug for a container capable of securely preventing, in addition to the adverse effect of a core such as a cork, an adverse effect by the entry of various types of odors from the outside of the container and the absorption/adsorption of the flavor of contents and a method of manufacturin g the plug for the container. In the plug for the container having the liquid- contact surface (F1) and the outer peripheral surface (F2) of the core (1) coated with a film, the polyester film (2) is adhered to the core (1) throug h a polyethylene adhesive layer (3), and the thickness of the adhesive layer ( 3) is 80 to 300 .mu.m at the center portion of the liquid-contact surface (F1), 70 to 100 .mu.m at the portion of the outer peripheral surface (F2) near the liquid-contact surface, and 30 .mu.m or thicker on the entire surface of the liquid-contact surface (F1). In the method, a polyethylene film having a portion corresponding to the liquid-contact surface (F1) formed thicker than the other portions is used as the adhesive layer (3) for adhering the polyester film to the core (1), the core (1) is press-fitted, in a heated state, into the polyester film and extended, and the polyester film is adher ed to the core (1) through the polyethylene film.</p> |
