Pressure controllers (28,30) open or close the connection of a shunt (24) to a fuel line (18) at a first pressure, and open or close the connection of a return line (22) with the fuel line at a second pressure. The pressure controller open the shunt and the return line when the pressure increases and close the shunt and return line when pressure drops. The fuel line leading to the internal combustion engine (20) is connected to an electric fuel pump (10) allocated to a fuel tank (14). The return line connected with the fuel line returns fuel towards the fuel pump. The shunt connected with the fuel line operates a sucking jet pump (26) arranged in the fuel tank. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling fuel supply of internal combustion engine.
