FIELD: agriculture, in particular, sowing of crops on ridges and beds in vegetable growing. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves forming sowing furrows; placing seeds therein and pressing seeds into soil; covering seeds with soil and compacting, with compaction procedure being provided only from sides after sowing of seeds on ridges. Seeds are covered with soil in furrows after pressing of seeds into furrow bottom, with soil spilled from sides of furrows during compaction from the top being used for covering and furrows being left open. Furrow depth is regulated depending on kind of crops and soil and climatic conditions. Apparatus has sowing section frame, seed hopper, share, colter opener, cheeks, seed guide and seed pressing-in roller. Colter opener is formed as replaceable knife made from springy steel. Share seed guide is provided with rhombic seed distributor disposed at its lower side. Seed pressing-in roller is made hollow, with two radial spokes and is disposed rearward of seed distributor within cavity of share cheeks. Share tine is provided with measuring scale having openings. Rear wheel rim has width exceeding width of sowing furrow to provide for compaction of furrow side walls from the top. ^ EFFECT: increased efficiency by creating optimal temperature, air and moisture conditions for germination of vegetable crop seeds sown on ridges and beds. ^ 3 cl, 6 dwg |
