PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a good adhesion to hydrophilic materials to a cellulose acylate film without conducting a saponification treatment. SOLUTION: The cellulose acylate film 50 is constructed into a multi-layer structure and an average acylation degree of the first layer 51 and fifth layer 55 adhered to the hydrophilic material is adjusted to 0.5 to 2.8. A second layer 52 and a fourth layer 54 include the cellulose acylate of the acylation degree higher than that of the first layer 51 and the fifth layer 55 and has the birefringence lower than that of the first layer 51 and the fifth layer 55. The cellulose acylate is formed by esterifying cellulose by using an acid catalyst and the acid after the esterification is neutralized by a Ca compound. In neutralization, the Ca compound is added thereto in such a manner that the concentration of Ca to the cellulose acylate attains≤60 ppm. The obtained cellulose acylate film 50 has the excellent adhesion to the hydrophilic material without conducting the saponification treatment. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
