PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface movement type actuator which a user can use in a comfortable and stable manner. SOLUTION: The actuator includes a magnet 1 disposed in a plane, and a coil 2 disposed so as to face this magnet 1, and a current is supplied to the coil 2 so that the magnet 1 and the coil 2 are made to move relatively, in a state such that they are made to face the actuator. This actuator includes a moving member 5, connected to any one of the coil 2 and the magnet 1, guide members 6, 7 for guiding the moving member 5 to move in a predetermined two-dimensional region, and collision-suppressing means 31-38 for suppressing the collision of the moving member to the movable limit part of the two-dimensional region. According to this actuator, since the collision-suppressing means is disposed at the end of the two-dimensional region for moving the moving member, the collision state can be suppressed.
