The device has several sensor elements (1-4) , whereby one sensor element is suitable for measuring light in the driving direction and one sensor element is suitable for measuring ambient light. One or two sensor elements are suitable for determining the surface angle of a light source and one sensor element is suitable for determining the elevation angle of the light source. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle with an inventive device.
