摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restore data up to a failure occurrence time in a remote site at high speed without placing a burden on a host. <P>SOLUTION: A first storage system on a master side processes an input and output request from a host, transmits update data as a result of of input and output processing to a second storage system on a remote side. The second storage system holds the data received from the first storage device as updated log data. The host transmits a command for determining the state of an application as data to the first storage system, and the first storage system transmits these data to the second storage system. Both the host and the second storage system hold an identifier corresponding to the command while associating the identifier with log data.
