<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid quantity control unit of a solution capable of electrically controlling the concentration or presence ratio of ions present in the solution to control the liquid quantity with high precision by a relatively simple device. <P>SOLUTION: The solute control unit is equipped with electrodes 6 and 7 present in the solution of which the liquid quantity must be controlled to receive the application of DC voltage and a control circuit 8 for controlling the difference between the potentials applied to the electrodes 6 and 7. The adsorption of the ions in the solution to the electrodes 6 and 7 and the discharge of the ions adsorbed to the electrodes 6 and 7 into the solution are controlled by continuously controlling the difference between the potentials applied to the electrodes by the control circuit 8. The ions in the solution is adsorbed to the electrodes by applying voltage to the electrodes 6, 7 when ions in the solution are desired to be reduced, on the other hand, the application of voltage to the electrodes 6 and 7 is released to discharge the ions absorbed to the electrodes 6 and 7 into the solution when the ions in the solutions are desired to be increased to control the concentration of ions in the solution or the presence ratio thereof to a target value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
