PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized inexpensive infrared detector capable of highly accurate detection with stable operation of a sensor element. SOLUTION: This infrared detector 100 is equipped in the same package with a sensor chip 10t wherein an infrared detection element is formed and with a control circuit chip 20t wherein a control circuit for controlling input/output of the infrared detection element is formed. In the detector 100, the control circuit has a signal processing circuit for processing an output signal from the infrared detection element, and a constant-current consumption circuit for making constant a power consumption in the signal processing circuit.
