<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recorded video display apparatus, a recorded video display method and recorded video display system capable of shortening a time required for searching by accelerating a scroll operation by changing the processing method of display at the time of scrolling a list display screen. <P>SOLUTION: The predetermined number of content information are read from a plurality kinds of content information recorded in a video recording/reproducing apparatus connected to a main body having a control means for performing control for an external video recording/reproducing apparatus via a predetermined interface, the read information are displayed in a list on a display means, and an operation means is operated. In this way, the content information is prevented from being read from the video recording/reproducing apparatus while a cursor is continuously moving on the display means, only numbers each indicating the number of content information of all items of the content information are displayed on the list display.
