PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a food container which allows free combinations of simple packaging containers containing food and which has both rationality and traditionally Japanese appearance in terms of food culture. SOLUTION: In the food container, a perforated tray 1 freely fitted in the frame of the receiving box 31 and removed from it is nested and accommodated in an outer box body 3 comprising a receiving box 31 and a box lid 32 vertically combined as a set. The plate composing the perforated tray 1 has receiving openings 11 into/from which the bodies 21 of the bottomed food-packaging containers 2 containing food can be freely inserted/removed. Lock projections 21a project from the peripheral face of the body 21 of each food packaging container 2. These lock projections 21a are locked underneath the edge 11a of the corresponding receiving opening 11 of the perforated tray 1, thereby preventing each container 2 from falling through the corresponding receiving opening. In addition, flanges 22 extending from the openings of the food packaging containers 2 are placed on the edges 11a of the corresponding receiving openings. The food packaging containers 2 are replaceably constructed in a cassette-like manner. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
