The invention relates to an automatic machine which is used for the silk screening and matting of vitreous sheets. The inventive machine is of the type that comprises a protective structure on which are disposed containers for the chemical products to be used. The ends of the machine are equipped with areas for supporting the sheets and for releasing same once formed. According to the invention, the sheets are conveyed by means of rollers. Moreover, the lower peripheral part of each sheet is coated with a protective film inside the protective structure and acid is subsequently applied thereto. Finally, said sheets are washed and dried.
