<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of dictionary images per a specific image of one type in image recognition processing based on an image recognition IC. <P>SOLUTION: This image recognition IC for detecting the specific image in an image input to the image recognition IC and outputting its detection result from the image recognition IC comprises a means for keeping the image input to the image recognition IC; a means for holding the dictionary image for detecting the specific image existing in the image input into the image recognition IC; a means for performing parallel comparison between a plurality of lines in the polar coordinate radius direction of the held original image condition and those in the dictionary image of the polar coordinate image condition; a means for performing parallel accumulation of the sum of respective comparison result between the lines of the image and those of the dictionary image in a shift register for accumulating the comparison results between the image and the dictionary image in the shift register; and a means for determining whether the specific image is included in the image or not on the basis of the comparison result between the image and the dictionary image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
