PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dwelling unit structure of an apartment house, which enables independent windows to be installed in all rooms even in the case of a dwelling unit with a short span, which can ensure the privacy of each dwelling unit to the utmost, and which can be easily constructed. SOLUTION: The dwelling units A and A<SB>1</SB>with a wide frontage and the same floor plan are arranged adjacently to each other, and the dwelling units B and B<SB>1</SB>with a narrow frontage and the same floor plan are each arranged adjacently to the outsides of the dwelling units A and A<SB>1</SB>, so that a dwelling unit group GT composed of the four dwelling units can be formed. A shared corridor 3 for coupling the respective dwelling units A, B, A<SB>1</SB>and B<SB>1</SB>to one another is arranged on one side of the dwelling group GT; a pair of porches 5 and 6 with a required width is formed in a required length from the shared corridor 3 on the sides of the dwelling units A and A<SB>1</SB>with the wide frontage along a partition wall 2 for partitioning a section between the dwelling units A and B or A<SB>1</SB>and B<SB>1</SB>, different in the frontage; and the dwelling units A and B or A<SB>1</SB>and B<SB>1</SB>, which face the respective porches 5 and 6 and are different in the frontage, are each provided with an entrance E, so as to serve as an independent dwelling unit.
