PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic semiconductor material having high carrier mobility in which aging is improved, and to provide a field effect organic thin film transistor having large current on/off-ratio characteristics in which aging is improved. SOLUTION: The organic semiconductor material comprises a compound having a nitrogen-containing heterocycle unit represented by a chemical formula (1) äwhere, R represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent, X represents -O- or -N(R1)- (R1represents a hydrogen atom or a substituent)} in a molecular structure.
