TENSION SENSOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a durable and flexible tension sensor capable of measuring a tension with high accuracy. SOLUTION: This tension sensor comprises a light emitting element 1 emitting light 4; a spring 22 arranged substantially orthogonally to the advancing direction of the light 4 so as to interrupt at least a part of the light 4 and changing the interruption quantity of the light 4 by extending and contracting according to tension; and a light receiving element 3 arranged oppositely to the light emitting element 1 across the spring 2 and receiving the light 4 transmitted by the spring 2. The value of tension is calculated based on the light receiving quantity of the light 4 changed by the extension and contraction of the spring 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
