PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a powdery cleansing cosmetic excellent in dirt removing effect on the skin, free from load on the skin, simply usable, and excellent in application textures. SOLUTION: This powdery cleansing cosmetic comprises (a) a solid oil and (b) an inorganic powder having a specific surface area of 40 to 400 m<SP>2</SP>/g. The cosmetic is excellent in dirt removing effect on the skin (the effect of removing dirt or blackish matter from hair follicles), not highly irritating the skin, excellent in refreshness after application, and capable of being simply used.
