PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for precisely estimating whether burr is produced in a molding member, in the molding member for injecting a molten resin to mold the same. SOLUTION: The method for estimating the occurrence of burr has a regression equation forming process for a regression equation of a predetermined physical quantity such as the temperature of the molten resin, the pressure thereof or the like and a tolerance gap quantity causing no burr, a flow analyzing process for analyzing the flow of the molten resin in a cavity, a mold cooling and analyzing process and a mold rigidity analyzing process for analyzing the rigidity of a fixed mold and a movable mold. Mold temperature distribution data is formed by taking in the resin temperature data outputted by the flow analyzing process to perform mold cooling analysis and the mold temperature data being the input data of the flow analyzing process is corrected on the basis of the mold temperature distribution data to repeat an analyzing loop for again performing flow analysis and mold cooling analysis. The mold opening quantity in a mold boundary part is calculated by performing mold rigidity analysis considering the thermal expansion of a mold and tolerance gap quantity causing no burr is calculated to compare the mold opening quantity and the tolerance gap quantity to estimate the occurrence of burr.
