PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus furnished with an optical write-in apparatus, in which a thermal influence to the interior of the optical write-in apparatus and an optical element due to an external contributing factor is reduced. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is so composed that a motor driver 62f of a deflector 62 and a polygon mirror 62h are supported on a substrate 62g, a part of wall 50C of the wall of an optical housing 50 is arranged between a lower face in the vertical direction of the polygon mirror 62h and the upper face of the motor driver 62f, thus the temperature rise of wind caused by the rotation of the polygon mirror 62h due to the heat generated in the driver 62f of the polygon motor 62c is suppressed.
