<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decompose the subject compound to a readily reusable product by severing the glycosyl linkages of a saccharide chain polymer including only glucopyranose rings as a main chain and decomposing it to a compound bearing a saccharide on the chain terminal. SOLUTION: This is a process for decomposition of a saccharide chain polymer constituted, as its main chain, with oligosaccharides as maltose, cellobiose, lactose, isomaltose or trehalose, only glucopyranose-containing di- or more polysaccharides 11 comprising polysaccharides as cellulose, starch, glycogen, chitosan or mannan and other components 13. In this process, the glycoside bonds 12 between individual saccharides is enzymatically hydrolyzed and then decomposed to compounds bearing a saccharide 11a on the chain terminal thereby decomposing a decomposable saccharide-chain polymer to a readily reusable product.</p> |
