A display apparatus comprising a substrate on which an electroluminescence element having an organic element layer between a first electrode and a second electrode; a switching element which is provided for each pixel between the substrate and the first electrode; an insulating film which is formed on the switching element; and a reflective layer which is formed on the insulating film and insulated from the switching element, the reflective layer reflecting light entering from a side near the organic element layer; wherein the first electrode is formed by a transparent conductive material directly covering the reflective layer and is electrically connected with the switching element.
