The device (10) has two visual recording units e.g. digital TV camera (15), arranged reciprocally at a much smaller distance with respect to a size of a surrounding area (17) to be controlled. The visual units are oriented in the same direction and determine a distance of an object e.g. drilling unit (12), identified from a view point with respect to a background plane for recognizing whether the object is moving/stationary. An independent claim is also included for a method to recognize movement of persons, or voluminous objects, in a pre-determinate area. |
