<p>Intervertebral nucleus prosthesis consists of preferably spherical molding(s) of solid, non-oxidizing, biocompatible material with a diameter matching that of the biological nucleus. It can move in 2 directions of a plane and is held in a cage, in which it can rotate freely about its mid-point and projects as a spherical cap on both opposite sides of the cage. An independent claim is also included for a method of implanting the prosthesis.</p> |
