IMAGE RECORDING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording apparatus which can obtain a proper image by efficiently, necessarily and sufficiently cleaning a carrying belt.

SOLUTION: This image recording apparatus is provided with cleaning rollers 12 and 13 which are provided in such a manner as to be capable of coming into pressure contact with the carrying belt 7 and which cleans the carrying belt 7, and a cleaning liquid supply means 20 for supplying the cleaning liquid for removing a stain adhering to the cleaning rollers 12 and 13. The image recording apparatus is also provided with a control part 37 which controls the means 20 so as to change the quantity of the cleaning liquid to be supplied, depending on recording conditions of an image.
