<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable tracing information about a medicine even after the medicine is delivered to a patient. <P>SOLUTION: The medicine management system comprises a main body 12 having storing parts 14a-14j in which medicine packages 20 of a minimum dose can be stored individually, and IC tags 16a-16j having specific medicine ID for each medicine 20 of the minimum dose stored in the main body 12. The system of the present invention is capable to identify not only the type of the medicine 20, but also individual information of medicine 20 of the minimum dose, by reading the information maintained in the IC tags 16a-16j. It is possible for the system to trace the information of the medicine, type of the medicine, by whom it is prescribed, when and by whom it is dispensed, and when the expiration date of medicine is, even for the medicine such as out-of-hospital prescription medicine which the patient takes out the medicine from the hospital or the dispensary and takes it outside the hospital. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
