PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small brush motor capable of setting a pair of brushes well on a commutator by simply assembling an end lid and a rotor without causing impact deformation or damage on the pair of brushes. SOLUTION: A rotor 50 has a conical brush guide 20 fitted over a motor shaft 5a on the side projecting from an oil return washer 6 and having an annular part 21 for passing the motor shaft 5a, and six sectoral resilient protrusions 22 protruding from the annular part 21 in the direction of a conical generator. When an end lid 7 is fixed to the end opening of a motor case 1, a pair of brushes 7A ride on the protrusion 22 as they are pushed in the thrust direction. After the pair brush 7A extended gradually in the receding direction, the pair of brushes 7A ride over the oil return washer 6 to clamp the circumferential surface of a commutator 5E. Furthermore, the guide 20 is flattened and its diameter is enlarged because an oil impregnation bearing 7e held by the end lid 7 pushes in the annular part 21. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
