<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a splice box which permits to easily add equipment, and does not make the storage complex without increasing the number of trays even when there are two or more kinds of excess lengths of optical fibers. <P>SOLUTION: A main body case 2 is formed from a synthetic resin with the front face open, and an additional case 18 formed from the synthetic resin with the front face open is mounted on the front face of this main body case 2 by a mounting screw 25 and a locking pawl 21 so as to be freely attachable and detachable. An optical cable, an optical fiber cord, or the like is externally introduced into the main body case 2; a welding part and a excess length of the optical fiber, a connector connecting part; and the like are held inside; and equipment such as a media converter can be housed in the additional case. Moreover, floating prevention pieces of a complementary length of a complementary length holding part in the main body case are formed in two steps with different heights so that a coated optical fiber can be held in the lower stage and an optical fiber cord can be held in the upper stage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
