<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method for organic waste water which is capable of reducing the amount of excessive sludge produced by biological decomposition of organic waste water, is capable of stably performing water treatment by effectively suppressing the formation of a color component and the dissolution of soluble phosphorus in a solubilization process and is excellent from an economical view point too. <P>SOLUTION: This treatment method for organic waste water comprises a biological decomposition process of biologically decomposing organic waste water and the solubilization process of solubilizing sludge produced in the biological decomposition process by heating at least a part of the sludge, wherein the solubilized liquid after solubilization is returned to the biological decomposition process.
