IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a moving picture with a wider field angle than that of an image at photographing to an image display device such as an ordinary projector or an ordinary television receiver having a single display screen. SOLUTION: The processing of the image processing apparatus includes the steps of: calculating the relative positional relation of a plurality of frame images acquired in time series from a moving picture or still pictures which are continuing in time series; arranging the plurality of frame images according to the positional relation; cutting out and generating a plurality of still pictures with a prescribed pattern shape different from that of the plurality of acquired frame images from an image region defined by taking the logical sum of the plurality of arranged frame images; and outputting the images with a pattern shape different from that of the frame images as a moving picture by outputting the generated still pictures with the prescribed pattern shape one by one at a prescribed time interval. As a result, the moving picture is reconstructed to be an image different from the received moving picture and appreciated again as the moving picture. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
