PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new antineoplastic agent as a new means for the treatment of cancer. SOLUTION: This antineoplastic agent contains docosapentaenoic acid (DPA). The antineoplastic agent develops high utility especially by the combined use with an immunotherapeutic agent for cancer. Harp seal oil containing≥7% docosapentaenoic acid and known as "Docopen(R)" is a useful antineoplastic agent. An extremely useful antineoplastic agent is produced by the combined use with an IL-12 production inducing agent useful as an immunotheapeutic agent for cancer such as a substance having aβ-1,3/1,6 glucan structure.
