PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording method effective in setting an optimum recording condition while reducing frequency of test recording and a device. SOLUTION: In a recording method of an optical information recording medium in which recording condition is decided based on the result of test recording carried out to an optical recording medium by irradiation of pulse of a laser beam, test recording is performed by varying gradually power and pulse width of write pulse 10.
